Unique Visitor – (aka unique session) a metric used for website traffic that records the unique IP addresses that visit a website during a specific time period (usually one day). Unique visitor statistics can be inflated if the user has a dynamic IP address.

Examples:
The user identified with IP address 234.123.23.45 visits our homepage. IP 234.111.11.11 visits our homepage as well. This counts as two unique visitors.
the user id 234.123.23.45 visits 20 pages on our website. That counts as one unique visitor
